Lily is an Academy Award shortlisted and award winning documentary filmmaker with a decade of experience in all stages of production.
Lily’s directorial debut feature documentary, WICKET, premiered at Frameline Film Festival in June 2025, where it won the festival's Audience Award for Best Feature Documentary.
In 2022, a Paramount+ film she lead produced, Lynching Postcards: Token of a Great Day, was shortlisted for the Academy Awards, won the NAACP Image Award for “Outstanding Short-Form Series or Special – Reality/Nonfiction,” was nominated for a Peabody award, and was shortlisted at DocNYC Film Festival. In June 2024, Outstanding: A Comedy Revolution, which she archival produced, premiered at Tribeca Film Festival and streamed on Netflix. Previously, she spent almost 5 years producing the Critic’s Choice and Writers Guild Award nominated 2021 Netflix series Amend: The Fight for America, hosted and Executive Produced by Will Smith. Lily was significantly involved in all stages of production, from the earliest research & development through post production.
She has worked for some of the top production houses in film, including MTV Studios, Apple Studios, The Documentary Group, Springhill Entertainment, Firelight Films, Boardwalk Pictures, and MakeMake Entertainment.
Her work explores themes of social justice, American inequality, the relevance of history to modern life, and the power of artistic expression. She particularly enjoys research & development, conducting on-camera interviews, story producing, and production coordination.
